No Pain...Just Good Sleep

I bought this Copper Infused Elbow Sleeve and Brace and was able to do so at a discounted price (Thanks Tomoson) in exchange for my honest review.  Which those who know me will tell you that will always be the case.  I have had tendonitis and carpal tunnel for years.  I had surgery for the carpal tunnel on my right hand, but haven't had the left hand done yet.  The tendonitis is on my right arm.  At night my left arm will go numb (and it wakes me up).  I put the sleeve on and ... no pain just sleep!  I don't know how it does it...but it works.  I need to buy another for my right arm because last night I kept moving it from one to the other!  The brace is perfect for putting pressure in just the right spot to keep the tendonitis from aching.  This one is a winner! #wimielbowsolution

A Moscow Mule

I've Got A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts

Coconut oil has so many uses.  It is great for baking (and healthy for you!).   It makes a great moisturizer (especially when my eczema is bothering me.  And my favorite use if for oil pulling.  In case you don't know what oil pulling is all about; let me enlighten you.  From what I understand, it has been used for this purpose for centuries.  Each morning I take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and swish it back and forth (pulling) between my teeth.  Sounds totally gross, but it's not.  You do this for 10-20 minutes and then spit it out - then brush teeth as you normally would.  The coconut oil helps collect plaque, bacteria, etc. and you remove it from your mouth.  Although my dentist won't admit this is the reason, since I have been doing this, I have had much better check-ups!  I recently found a new favorite brand 'Healthworks Extra Virgin Coconut Oil '.  It has a much smoother texture and a much better flavor.  It has a pleasant slight coconut scent and taste.  I purchased mine on Amazon.  Give it a try! I received this product at a significant price reduction or free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.  I have always had dark circles – just a fact of my life.  But I will try anything to make them look better!  I tried this product for several days and although I don’t see a significant difference in my dark circles, I do see a difference in the puffiness and the texture of my eyes and surrounding skin.  Here are a few pictures – a Before, 3-5 minutes after, and 30 minutes after and with make-up.  My make-up actually looks smooth and normally it doesn’t!

I'm all about that 'case', pillow that is.

I received this product at a significant price reduction or free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.  I was quite impressed with the quality.  The 400 thread count is so soft and the styling matches my own sheets.  It is the perfect size for a toddler pillow or other small pillow.  I used it on a long car trip and it was the perfect size.  I can use it when my grandkids come over and they love anything that is ‘their size’.  So I need to buy a few more (since I have 6 grandkids!)

Do They 'Measure' Up? - Portion Control Containers

Through an online deals group I was able to receive this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review of this product.  This particular item interested me because of its similarity to a popular product offered through infomercial and online.  I have that particular product so I was interested in seeing how these portion control containers 'measured' up. 

First of all -- the colors match the competitors and portion control sizes are the same.  This is perfect for someone who doesn't want the exercise plan that goes with the other product. 

As far as the durability of the containers -- they are sturdy, but the lids on all the containers do not seal as tightly as I would like.  It is a tight enough seal for solid items...but I would worry about putting liquid in one with a lid that isn't a tight seal.  But if you use the products like I do (just to measure my portions and then package my own in baggies or other containers) it really doesn't matter. 

All in all - a good alternative to its competitor.  Also came with an e-book that explained how to calculate your calorie level and how many of each container you should have daily.  It also contained some yummy recipes with color counts.

There's an App for That - Walmart Savings Catcher

With Walmart’s already low prices, you would think that is bargain enough…But the Walmart Savings Catcher is an added bonus!  Download the Walmart app to your phone; and start using it! Every time I shop at Walmart I scan the receipt as soon as I get in the car.  Walmart will check prices with dozens of other stores and if they find a lower price…they will credit you the difference!  I’ve been using the App for less than a year and a half and have gotten back over $125!

I didn't make any resolutions this year, but I have plenty of things I intend to accomplish, but instead of writing a list, I am writing a Blog.  That way I can share these things with my readers.  Today is the first 'work day' of the new year.  Over the long weekend, I have begun early 'spring cleaning' at my house -- because it is time to get rid of the excess!  Some just needs to hit the trash bin; some I will donate; and some may even end up on ebay to bring in a little extra cash.


I want to make 2016 the year of savings for my household.  I already have a few money saving apps that I use such as Walmart's Savings Catcher (Love this one!).  Just shop at Walmart, scan the barcode on your receipt and let Walmart do the rest.  They will search competitors for lower prices, and if they find a lower price, they will credit you the difference!  You can bank your savings and cash it in on a Walmart Gift Card at any time.  Over the last 8 months, I have accumulate ~ $75.  And I'm ready to cash it in!.


This app was so easy to use and the savings quickly add up; that I have downloaded a few new apps for 2016.  These include Ebates, Ibotta, and Target Cartwheel.  And I will be doing more research this month to add this list.  Stay tuned for my savings updates and reviews of these apps!
